Microdermabrasion

Diamond Microdermabrasion, the method used in BLOSSOM Cosmetic Laser Clinic, is the most up to date system on the market. The microdermabrasion tip used in the procedure is covered with tiny diamonds and can be used to exfoliate the skin on your face, neck and back of hands. The Practitioner passes the wand over the area 3 times, when the tip makes contact with the skin it abrades against the top layer removing it. The machine then sucks the loose skin cells away. One advantage of the Diamond tip machine is that the dead skin cells are gathered onto a cotton filter and you can see exactly what has been removed. The suction works in three ways, firstly to remove the dead cells, secondly to stimulate collagen and elastin and finally to increase the blood flow to the skins surface giving the complexion a healthy glow.

Another definite advantage of the diamond tip versus the crystal tip is there is no danger of getting tiny crystals stuck in pores which has been known to happen.

Microdermabrasion can improve rough skin, some scarring and the appearance of fine lines. It can also minimise large pores and remove white or black heads.

All clients will be assessed for their suitability for the treatment. This will take place in the form of a consultation where all aspects of the procedure will be discussed.

The treatment normally takes up to 30 minutes, depending on the area to be treated.
