IPL – Skin Rejuvenation

Increasingly, men and women of all ages want younger-looking skin but don’t want to take time away from active lifestyles. Intense Pulse Light (IPL™) improves the appearance of photo-aged skin with no down time.

Unique IPL technology sends a broad spectrum of therapeutic light into the skin – it can simultaneously treat a wide range of skin conditions, including age spots (sun-induced freckles), and broken capillaries. This effective, non-invasive treatment modality provides impressive results with no down time.

Unlike conventional lasers, IPL technology allows you to treat the full face, resulting in a more aesthetically pleasing appearance. And Photorejuvenation treatments are safe enough for application on the neck, chest, arms and hands.

IPL Skin Treatments Using Photorejuvenation:

  • Stimulates Collogen Growth
  • Evens out skin colour for a youthful, rejuvenated look.
  • Effectively treats vascular and pigmented imperfections.
  • Offers exceptional patient satisfaction.

IPL’s broad spectrum allows the nurse to use the wavelength range appropriate to the treatment, providing flexibility that is not possible with a laser’s single monochromatic wavelength.

Before Treatment

The IPL wavelength is optimised so that the energy is absorbed only by the unwanted melanin, raising the temperature to cause shattering of the pigment.

During Treatment

The unwanted pigment cells (or melanin) have been thoroughly fragmented without damage to the surrounding tissue.

After Treatment

The shattered melanin particles are eliminated through phagocytosis, whereby the fragmented pigments and damaged melanocytes are absorbed by the body. Little or no trace of the initial lesion remains.
