FEATURING NEW-GENERATION IPL TECHNOLOGY
“More effective and less painful than traditional laser treatments”
A new way to remove unwanted hair
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) permanent hair reduction is an innovative, reliable and safe technique for removing unwanted hair from your body.
It is a proven, effective and permanent hair reduction treatment based on the principle of selective photothermolysis (heating with light), which stops hair follicles from growing hair without damaging the skin.
Compared to traditional lasers, it is less painful, more versatile and gives better long term results.
“an innovative, reliable and safe technique”
How does it work?
Permanent hair reduction using Intense Pulsed Light works on the principle of exposing the area where hair reduction is desired to a series of very short pulses of concentrated light. The energy is converted to heat in the hair and base of the hair follicle, which stops the process of hair growth.
Older laser machines are only capable of producing one wavelength at a time. On the other hand, IPL can produce hundreds. These wavelengths are then customised to reach specific hairs and can be modified with each pulse.

Customised to suit you
Pulsed light can also be delivered in pulses of light varying from 1 to 5 pulses at a time. The duration of each pulse can also be varied.
The IPL can be customised to best match the characteristics of your skin and hair type. This flexibility and variability allows your nurse to maximise results whilst minimising side effects.
The very short, high-intensity bursts of light used in Intense Pulsed Light treatment mean that the effect on the skin surrounding the hair is kept to an absolute minimum.
“Most of our customers evaluate the discomfort level of the treatment as being significantly less than other hair removal methods such as waxing or plucking.”
Let us answer some of your questions...
What is the main difference between IPL and laser treatments?
Both offer permanent hair reduction, but IPL is a newer and more versatile technique which allows a wider range of skin and hair types to be treated. And IPL is usually a much less uncomfortable treatment to have.
How many sessions do you think I’ll need?
The number of sessions needed to achieve complete hair reduction depends on your hair density and type, as well as your skin type. However, 6 to 8 sessions are normal
Why does it take multiple sessions?
Because it is only hair in the growth cycle that can be destroyed.
Does it take long?
Naturally, the length of a session will depend on the area to be treated. As a guide, a session for the underarms or the bikini line can last for about 15 minutes.
Does it suit all types of skin and hair?
With IPL, we can treat a wide range of skin and hair types. The treatment is most effective when the hair is dark and the skin is light.
Is it sore?
IPL is a non-painful treatment. But of course, everyone reacts in a different way – some totally painless, some with mild irritation or discomfort. Most people liken the sensation to a rubber band flicking the skin.
